Glimpse is a dating app, which means it holds unusually personal information about you. This page says exactly what that is, who can see it, and how to get rid of it.
Glimpse is operated by Christopher Lee, an individual sole proprietor in California, United States. Questions about anything here go to glimpse.thedatingapp@gmail.com, which reaches a person rather than a ticket queue.

You can also tell us your gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, relationship goals, family plans, love language, and your relationship with alcohol, smoking, cannabis and other drugs.
These are sensitive. Several are treated as special category or sensitive personal information under privacy laws including the GDPR and the California Privacy Rights Act. Every one of them is optional. By entering them you are consenting to us storing them and using them for matching, and you can remove any of them at any time by editing your profile.
With your permission, Glimpse records your device's coordinates and the nearest city name. This is used to work out distance between people and to filter the feed to a radius you choose. Your coordinates are refreshed while you use the app so distance stays accurate as you move.
Your precise coordinates are never displayed to other users. They see the city name on your profile and, where relevant, an approximate distance. You can decline location permission entirely — distance filtering simply won't apply to you.
Glimpse contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Worth stating plainly, because it's the part people most often get wrong about dating apps.

Posts you send to the main feed can be seen by anyone whose filters you match. Posts you send to your matches are readable only by the specific people matched with you at the moment you posted — this is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the app. Messages are readable only by the two people in that conversation.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. There is no advertising in Glimpse.
Google Firebase provides the authentication, database, file storage and server functions Glimpse runs on. Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States, under Google's terms as a data processor acting on our instructions.
Apple handles the delivery of push notifications. Apple receives the notification content in order to deliver it to your device.
Gmail is used to deliver safety report alerts to the person who reviews them.
We may disclose information if legally required to do so, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent serious harm to someone.

This cannot be undone. Reports filed about your account are kept, as described above. Messages you sent may remain visible to the other person until they delete the match on their side.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to how it's processed, and withdraw consent you've previously given. California residents additionally have the right to know what is collected and to limit the use of sensitive personal information; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Most of these you can exercise yourself inside the app — editing your profile, removing optional details, or deleting your account. For anything else, email glimpse.thedatingapp@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Exercising any of these rights will never result in worse treatment.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google Cloud. Access to your data is restricted by server-side security rules, so private posts and messages are protected by the servers themselves rather than only being hidden by the app. Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Glimpse is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor is using Glimpse, email us and the account will be removed and its data deleted.
Glimpse is operated from the United States and your data is stored there. If you use Glimpse from outside the US, you're consenting to that transfer. US privacy law may offer less protection than the law where you live.
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Glimpse after that means you accept the revised policy.
